Latara — Village Musician of Bright Tree Village

Latara is the self-appointed musical star of Bright Tree Village, a vivacious and outspoken young Ewok whose personality is as big as the forest moon itself. Armed with her beloved flute and an inexhaustible supply of opinions, Latara brings color, comedy, and heart to every adventure she stumbles — or struts — into.

The Performer

Music is Latara's passion and her identity. She plays a handcrafted wooden flute with genuine skill, and she dreams of one day becoming the most famous musician on all of Endor. Her performances at village gatherings range from genuinely beautiful to hilariously overambitious, and she accepts praise and criticism with equal dramatic flair. To Latara, every moment is a potential performance, and every audience deserves her best — whether they asked for it or not.

Personality

Latara is sassy, dramatic, and refreshingly honest. She says what she thinks, often before she has finished thinking it, which leads to frequent comedic moments and occasional hurt feelings. Beneath her bold exterior, however, lies a deeply loyal friend who will abandon her own comfort in an instant to help those she cares about. Her friendship with Princess Kneesaa is particularly close — the two balance each other perfectly, with Kneesaa's calm diplomacy tempering Latara's fiery spontaneity.

Adventures in the Forest

Throughout the Ewoks animated series, Latara accompanies Wicket, Kneesaa, and Teebo on numerous adventures across Endor. She often provides the comic relief, complaining about mud on her fur or the lack of appreciative audiences in the wilderness. But when the situation turns serious, Latara consistently rises to the occasion, proving that her courage matches her volume.
