Vine-Swinger and Navigator
Powerful canopy acrobat and navigator whose vine-swinging skills give Ewoks mastery of the treetops.
Stemzee is the canopy acrobat of Bright Tree Village, an Ewok whose extraordinary physical strength and vine-swinging agility allow him to navigate the upper reaches of Endor's forest with breathtaking speed and grace. While most Ewoks are competent climbers, Stemzee operates on an entirely different level — launching himself between trees with the fluid confidence of a creature born to fly.
Stemzee's primary domain is the upper canopy, the dense layer of interlocking branches and foliage that forms a second world high above the forest floor. He traverses this vertical landscape using a combination of vine swings, branch leaps, and controlled slides that he has perfected over years of practice. His upper-body strength is exceptional even by Ewok standards, allowing him to swing his full body weight on a single vine for distances that would exhaust most warriors.
Beyond raw athleticism, Stemzee possesses an extraordinary sense of direction. He serves as one of the village's primary navigators, able to orient himself by the position of stars glimpsed through the canopy, the direction of prevailing winds, and subtle variations in tree species that indicate different ecological zones. He can guide a patrol to any point in the surrounding forest by the most efficient route, whether on the ground or through the trees.
During the conflict with Imperial forces, Stemzee's canopy mobility proved invaluable. He served as a rapid messenger, swinging between Ewok positions to relay orders and intelligence faster than any ground runner could manage. His ability to observe the battlefield from elevated positions gave Ewok commanders real-time information about enemy movements and allowed them to redirect their forces dynamically.
Stemzee also participated directly in combat, dropping onto Imperial positions from above and using his momentum to devastating effect. His partnership with Tokkat — the village's stealth specialist — created a formidable ground-and-air team that harassed Imperial patrols throughout the battle.
What drives Stemzee is not mere athleticism but genuine bravery. Swinging through the canopy at high speed, dozens of meters above the ground, requires a fundamental comfort with risk that few possess. Stemzee embraces that risk not for the thrill but because his skills serve his people, and serving his people is the only purpose he needs.
Stemzee embodies the vertical dimension of Ewok warfare and culture — a reminder that these forest dwellers do not merely live among the trees but have truly mastered them.
